Rainy Day Lake Trail Description
Although it might not have the most interesting trail in, the area around Rainy Day Lake is truly spectacular and is absolutely worth the effort of getting there. Setting out from Saltery Bay, follow along the gravel road as it snakes through a quiet stretch of forest on the way to the lake. After roughly 1.9mi of hiking, the trail will split off from the road and head into the forest to the right. Take this path and continue through the thick tree cover until you arrive at the scenic shores of Rainy Day Lake. Here, you will be greeted with an amazing view across the water that is framed by the tall wooded slopes of the surrounding mountains. Take some time to explore the area and make your way up to Hailstone Bluff for an even better view before making your way back along the same trail that you came in on.
