Mud Lake Trail Description

The Mud Lake Hike is a fantastic half-day trekking option that is easily accessible and features family-friendly terrain in a beautiful forest setting. As mentioned above, there are some stairs and step-up bridges along the route, which would restrict access for less mobile hikers and families with strollers. The trail passes through a wonderfully atmospheric forest setting that will feel almost magical if you can time your hike for just after a good rainfall. Along the loop, you will have access to a few viewpoints where you can gaze out over the tranquil waters of Mud Lake before wrapping up your hike back at the trailhead.
