Big Tree Loop Trail Description
Hiking along the Big Tree loop is a great way to get out for some exercise and enjoy the amazing ecosystems that can be found within the West Coast rainforest environment. Hikers should take note of the fact that in addition to being a hiking route, this trail is also popular with trail runners and mountain bike enthusiasts. Even still, as far as multi-use routes go, this trail sees a fairly low amount of foot traffic and you will be able to enjoy some peace and quiet out in the forest. Setting out from the trailhead, follow the route to the southeast and head left at the fork to begin the trail loop. Remember to bring a GPS or trail map along for this hike, as there are many intersecting trails that can make navigation difficult. Work your way through the beautiful rainforest landscape and take in the scenic views of the surrounding plant life before arriving back at the trailhead where you began.
