The hike to Lady Falls is a nice family-friendly hike for families camping in Strathcona Provincial Park. The stunning Lady Falls is nestled deep in the enchanted forest of the Cervus Creek Valley. Cascading water down 98ft, the lush surroundings add to the beauty, yielding a magical feel to the air.
Getting there
From Campbell River head west along the Gold River Highway BC-28 for 29.2mi. A few kilometres after you enter the park, turn right to stay on BC-28, following signs for Gold River. Continue along this highway for just under 10.6mi, passing over Buttle Lake and heading west along the Elk River Drainage. Watch out for signs for the Lady Falls Picnic Area on your left. Turn off here and park.

Route Description for Lady Falls
From the parking lot, follow the obvious and well-defined hiking trail up for 0.3mi to Lady Falls. Along the way, you will find delightful wooden benches and other west coast goodies. This is a fun trail for kids.
At the end of the Lady Falls hiking trail you will find yourself on a viewing platform, in full view of the impressive Lady Falls. On a warm day the fine mist coming off the rocks does wonders to cool you down.
With 98ft of vertical change, Lady Falls are impressive. As with much of Strathcona, however, the unique mystical ambiance adds a certain something that makes every outing that much more special. The thick moss lining the cliff walls and the dense, inviting forest surrounding the falls make the entire experience that much more enticing.

In 2024, the hiking conditions for Lady Falls in Strathcona Provincial Park are expected to be quite favorable, especially during the prime visiting times from May through October. The trail to Lady Falls remains well-maintained and short, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, making it an ideal family-friendly hike.

Very easy trek up to this waterfall. Even in the middle of summer you can feel its cool mist on your face. Strathcona Provincial park is full of beautiful waterfalls and mountains.
