Getting there

To get to the River Cuckmere Walk from Seaford, take Vale Road to Alfriston Road and continue on Alfriston Road. Take Lewes Road/A27 to Common Lane and continue on Common Lane, and in 2.8mi, you will arrive at your destination.

The River Cuckmere Walk is a splendid walk that takes you on a journey through the woodlands and along the countryside. Beginning at the Seven Sisters stunning, white chalk cliffside entrance, follow the South Downs Way. Take the path to spectacular views of the surrounding area and the famous White Horse that sits atop a hill in the distance.

As you continue, you will come across the River Cuckmere and will continue your journey for the rest of the path along this river. Revel in the beautiful scenery that wraps around the slowly moving waters of the river, and you may get lucky and see some sheep or cattle grazing along the way. You will come to the place where you began, as this is a circular walk.
