East Weaver Lake Hike Description
The East Weaver Lake Trail makes for a wonderful adventure into the high country. Explore montane meadows abundant with wildflowers and granite outcroppings up to the charming alpine lake. Those who venture this path will be rewarded with dumfounding vistas of the mountainous landscape. Note this route is rocky and uneven, so a pair of ankle-bracing footwear is a must! Additionally, though dogs are welcome, the rough terrain may prove difficult to navigate, so consider leaving them behind for this adventure.
Once your shoes are tied, and your water bottle is filled, you can begin your exciting adventure along the East Weaver Lake Trail. Setting out from the trailhead off Weaver Bally Road, the East Weaver Lake Trail travels northwest along the rocky ridges of Weaver Bally. Eventually, the path will gently climb up to a saddle where you will be granted impressive vistas of East Weaver Lake below. Admire the alpine pool scene, then descend the rocky terrain into the mountain basin.
Revel in the beauty of the charming alpine lake bounded by granite bluffs and montane meadows. After rejuvenating your tired feet in the chilly waters, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
