Crystal Cave Trail Description

Those seeking a change of pace from the quintessential treks through sequoia groves will enjoy the Crystal Cave Trail. Explore the intriguing cavern of marble polished by subterranean streams and learn all about the area’s history and ecology from your knowledgeable tour guide. As the only way to explore this cave is with a guide, tickets are quick to sell and go on sale six months in advance. Tickets cannot be purchased on-site, so get your tickets online from the Sequoia Parks Conservancy.

Sections of the cavern have low clearance and the terrain is made slippery by moisture, so mind your footing. Additionally, the cave is often chilly, so pack a jacket to stay warm! Food and scented products need to be removed from your vehicle and stored in lockers while you enjoy the tour. Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.

Transporting visitors through an otherworldly landscape, the Crystal Cave Trail is a popular destination in the Sequoia National Park.
