Fourth of July Lake Hike Description
Family-friendly, impressively scenic, varied, and versatile, this incredible adventure into the mountains is hard to beat. Immerse yourself in blossoming meadows, explore meandering creeks, and hike amongst a diversity of fauna on this pleasant trail. While the exposed sections of the route offer great views, it also warrants hot conditions in the summer months, so bring plenty of water, and wearing SPF is wise!
When you are ready, your adventure along the Fourth of July Lake Hike begins from the White Clouds Trailhead. Setting out from the trailhead, this meandering path travels eastward along the Fourth of July Creek, alternating between corridors of mixed pines and tree-lined meadows. Keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way, the path will ultimately redirect hikers southwardly, escaping the tree shade.
Beyond this point, the route will more intensely climb up to the shoreline of the shimmering pool. Take your time to explore the lovely lake and the scenes of the towering ridges that flank the water. Rest and rehydrate overlooking the mountainous landscape, then head back the way you came to the trailhead.
