Killyons Ridgeline Description
Killyons Ridgeline is a beautiful trail in Emigration Canyon east of Salt Lake City. This hike is relatively steep with a consistent incline, proper hiking footwear is essential, and we recommend bringing along hiking poles for some extra support. This trail is dog-friendly; however, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. The views from this trail are absolutely gorgeous. We recommend heading out on this hike in the summertime when the wildflowers of Emigration Canyon are in full bloom.
From the trailhead, follow the path north to a divide and take a right. At the next fork in the trail, take the path on your left to head north on the Lookout Peak Trail. Follow Lookout Peak Trail for about 1.3mi before turning back and retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
If you are up for a bigger adventure, you can extend this hike by following the Killyon Canyon to Lookout Peak Trail.
