For those outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the natural beauty of the Northumberland coast along a longer route, the Amble to Newbiggin Coastal Walk will provide 23.8km (14.8mi) of trails to explore. Several campsites are available along the trail if you are hoping to turn this into a multi-day adventure.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the southeast in order to leave the town of Amble behind, traversing the coastal terrain while gazing out across the deep blue waters of the North Sea. Here, you will pass by several beaches, including the sandy expanse of Druridge Bay.
After passing through the small village of Cresswell, continue on to the southeast along the coast until you arrive at the edge of the Newbiggin by the Sea Golf Club. Here, you will round Newbiggin Point and begin making your way into town, where you can explore its charming streets before heading home.
