Skinner Howe and Holiday Hill Circular Walk Description

A fantastic walking route that showcases the natural beauty of the moors, the Skinner Howe and Holiday Hill Circular Walk will lead you across the rugged landscape of the region for some amazing views of the undulating terrain that spreads out in every direction. As mentioned above, the trail here can become quite waterlogged, especially after a good rainfall, so if you don’t mind potentially getting your feet wet for some breathtaking views, then why not give this fun trail a shot.

Setting out from the car park, you will head to the west and follow the trail along the hillside as it runs parallel to the winding banks of Baysdale Beck. Eventually, the trail will turn to the southwest and lead you through the peaceful woodland landscape of Baysdale Wood, crossing over the stream before climbing up the slopes of Holiday Hill.

From here, follow the route as it turns to the east and take some time to appreciate the stunning views of the surrounding moors. After crossing over the Great Hograh and Little Hograh becks, you will descend the hillside on the return to the trailhead where you began your adventure.
