Lord Stones and Cringle Moor Walk Description
While the terrain along the Lord Stones and Cringle Moor Walk isn’t overly challenging, it does feature some steep uphill walking and sets of stairs that can be difficult for less-mobile walkers to traverse. Be sure to wear sturdy walking boots for the best support along the trail. Additionally, the trail can become quite muddy in the spring or after a good rainfall, so water-resistant footwear would also be a plus. Make sure to keep your dog on a lead.
Even though there are some steep sections, the Lord Stones and Cringle Moor Walk is a spectacular route in North Yorkshire that is perfectly suited for an adventurous family walk. The rugged terrain of the moor and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape make for a great afternoon on the trails, and there is even a cafe at the trailhead to reward you after a long day of walking. What else could you ask for!
Setting out from the car park, you will head north along the track for 120ft, passing by the toilet facilities on your left and turning right at the junction to get onto the footpath.
