The trail passes through the dense West Coast forest and forces hikers to trek through Lynn Creek for a stretch, making waterproof hiking footwear essential. The entire experience is worth the trouble, as you’ll be rewarded with beautiful views of Norvan Falls and Lynn Lake, in addition to spending the day out on some fairly unpopulated trails.

Lynn Lake Trail Description
The Lynn Lake Trail is a 13.5mi out-and-back that runs through the Lynn Headwaters Regional Park and is rated as difficult due to its rugged backcountry terrain and hike through the creekbed. The trail is lightly travelled beyond the junction for Norvan Falls, so make sure to follow the trail markers and bring a trail map to avoid straying off track.
This route runs alongside Lynn Creek as it heads through the dense tree cover and into the backcountry of Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. Numerous mountain streams and the fact that you have to hike through the waters of the creekbed for a stretch means that quality, waterproof hiking footwear is a necessity for this hike.
Highlights along the Lynn Lake Trail include views of Mount Fromme at the start of the route, the beautiful West Coast Rainforest that envelops the trail, the majestic Norvan Falls, and the final destination of Lynn Lake, a quaint lake nestled deep within the backcountry. This is a perfect hike if you are looking for a secluded route away from the crowds. Just make sure to take a few moments at the trailhead to register as a hiker in the area before setting out on the trail.
