The Burley Village Walk begins at the centre of the village, surrounded by many interesting gift shops, tea rooms and fudge shops that are worth browsing. From the Burley War Memorial the route takes you onto a footpath through the woods and down to Shappen Bottom, crossing the river and following the Southampton and Dorchester Railway.

The next part of the Burley Village Walk heads north, passing the scenic Long Pond to your left and then forking right to join Castle Hill Lane. Another right takes you through the woods and connects to Ringwood Road, which leads you back into Burley for some refreshments and sightseeing.
