Ashurst Circular Walk Description

From the railway station, a footpath leads north along the tracks towards the main road. It ends at a side road running parallel to A35. Walk along this road, turning right onto another lane just past the car park. You’ll immediately see a path branching off to the left, leading past The Happy Cheese pub. Follow this through a gate and towards the woods. The path eventually bends to the right around a cottage, requiring another gate passage. You should now be walking south through the Churchplace Inclosure.

The track eventually bends to the left, as you keep a lookout for grazing ponies. At the next major junction, turn right, and then left through a gate to cross over the railway tracks via footbridge. A final serene section of track leads to an access road. Turn right and follow this north back towards the A35. Carefully cross the road, and turn right to follow the cycle path on the opposite side back towards central Ashurst. You can re-cross the A35 just opposite from the railway station to complete the walk.
