Sunrise Nature Trail Description
The Sunrise Nature Trail is short, easy, and lined with beautiful wildflowers in midsummer. All times of year, you’re treated to great views of Mount Rainier and a kid-friendly trek. You can do this trail clockwise or counterclockwise, but counterclockwise offers a marginally smoother slope.
From Sunrise, take the trail to the northeast between the bathrooms and cafe. Walk up the stairs, taking a right at the junction. The trail splits left and right shortly after, where you can choose the direction of your loop. Just be aware that there are junctions on the far ends of either side of the loop, so keep right if you go clockwise and go left if you go counterclockwise.
Enjoy the endless flowers, the pretty forest, and the fabulous mountain views all along the trail. Complete your loop and rejoin the main trail back to sunrise.
