The Snoquera Falls Loop Trail is a heavily trafficked lollipop trail in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest that is rated as moderate. This scenic, lush hiking route goes through a mossy forest to a small waterfall. While the falls are not exceedingly easy to see from the trail, the rest of the hike is enjoyable enough to make it worth doing.

The second part of this trail is rockier and narrower, so families with small children may prefer hiking this as an out and back route.

Snoquera Falls Loop Trail Description

Snoquera Falls itself is actually small and difficult to see from this trail, but the vibrancy of the forest alongside you makes this trip worth it. Poles may be helpful on the rockier second half of the loop, but you can avoid this altogether by hiking as an out and back if you’d prefer to.

The route begins near Camp Sheppard, following Snoquera Falls Trail past the amphitheater. Where the White River Trail intersects, go right on this trail to begin your loop. After a traverse to a junction, the White River Trail continues northwest and Snoquera Falls Trail heads up to switchback a few times up into the first. Stay right here.

Traverse back to the right to the falls, which can be seen more directly with a bit of climbing. Either continue to follow the trail as it traverses, then switchbacks, then traverses again back down to the amphitheater or turn around to retrace your steps if you’re wanting to avoid the narrow, rocky portions of the hike.
