Snoqualmie Tunnel Trail Description

The Snoqualmie Tunnel Trail is a fun outing for kids and adults alike, as the easy trail leads to unique abandoned railway tunnels. You’ll love walking through these little pieces of history! Bring a jacket and a flashlight for the tunnels, and perhaps opt to bike part of this trail if the 8.4mi is too far for your whole group.

The trail begins in Hyak at the Hyak Trailhead Information center. Follow the Palouse-to-Cascades State Park Trail roughly north and then as it curves west. Continue straight on, eventually leaving town and passing small lakes and hills.

Go through Rockdale before following the path as it curves down to the tunnels. The tunnels are very cool, but they do get cold and dark, so don your jacket and turn on your flashlight. When you’re done, retrace your steps back to Hyak.
