Pinnacle Lake Trail Description
Pinnacle Lake Trail gives you access to both Bear and Pinnacle lakes, offering a great outing on a hot day. This trail isn’t all that long, but parts of it are very rocky and steep, and some hikers report losing their footing. For this reason, we don’t recommend this trail for kids, and we suggest bringing poles if you have them.
The hike begins from the Pinnacle Lake trailhead off the forest road. Bear Lake is not far up the trail, and there is a spur trail to the lakeshore you can use for a quick glance. Then, cross the creek at the eastern edge of Bear Lake and begin to switchback up a ridge.
Straightening out along the second half of the ridge, you’ll pass two small unnamed bodies of water before reaching Pinnacle Lake itself. On the return trip, be very cautious on the descent, especially when it’s wet.
