The Lodge Lake Trail is a heavily trafficked trail in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This trail only required 853ft of elevation gain, making it moderate in difficulty. This hike is great for some and so-so for others. If you love lake views and don’t mind a bit of mud, you’ll probably love it. If you prefer mountain views and keeping your feet dry, you might be best suited to another trail. Try it out and decide for yourself!

Lodge Lake Trail Description

Lodge Lake is a pleasant objective, and the hike there is on the easy side of moderate with manageable distance and elevation gain required. The path is clear, but there are lots of intersecting trails that can confuse some hikers, so download your GPS and keep an eye on it as you go.

Begin from the PCT trailhead, going straight through the first and second intersections. At the creek crossing, continue on the trail that hugs the stream, keeping the water on your immediate right.

If you need a more detailed explanation (as this is where most people lose their way), continue straight across the trail until you see the inter-summit 90 sign up in a tree. Stay just slightly to the right of the sign and you’ll be on the right track.

Pass Beaver Lake, keeping an eye out for little mushrooms in the damp areas, then make your way to Lodge Lake. The trail winds around to the southern shore of the lake. From here, you’ll simply retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
