Gold Creek Pond and Heli’s Pond Winter Route Description
Gold Creek Pond is a pretty mountain pond surrounded by green forest and rolling mountains, and Heli’s Pond is a teeny-tiny little gem just beyond Gold Creek. This trail is easy, sweet, and still enjoyable in the wintertime.
The trail begins by heading away from the parking lot on a road. Where the road splits, stay left and continue past the parking area and restrooms to the pond. You can loop around the pond either clockwise or counterclockwise, but you’ll pick up the trail on the northeast corner of the lake.
Continue up along the road, keeping left where it splits again. You’ll want to stay on Starwater Drive while it turns into Gold Creek Lane and then go right onto Chikamin Peak Road. Continue on this road to the left-hand path to Heli’s Pond. You can loop around the pond here and then follow the same route back.
