Elden Pueblo Loop Description
The Elden Pueblo Loop is a short and sweet trail at the base of Elden Mountain in Flagstaff. This trail leads you around the ruins of an old pueblo, mostly stone walls from dwellings. This is an interesting historical feature that’s incredibly quick to get to from the city. Pick up an educational booklet on your way in to learn more about the site.
This route is easy enough for all ages and skill levels. Hike this trail any time of day; it doesn’t tend to get very busy at all. The route is not manual wheelchair accessible, but it would be suitable for power chairs and strollers.
From the trailhead, the route travels southwest towards the ruins. Loop around the numbered sites, examining the walls (remember not to touch, lean, or climb!). Our route runs in a clockwise loop around the whole pueblo site before heading back to the trailhead.
