Hidden Fawn Loop Hike Description

The Hidden Fawn Loop Trail is a lovely adventure that we can not recommend enough. Exhibiting the diversity of the Colorado wilderness, this path reveals sights of the verdant rolling foothills dotted with pines, the snow-capped Front Range peaks, and lush meadowlands. As you hike, you will also be rewarded with up-close and personal views of the Elephant Butte, Evergreen Mountain, and the famous Sisters and Brother rocks. This is a popular destination amongst the adventure traveller community as the trail can be hiked or biked, and the large outcroppings are popular bouldering cliffs.

Departing from the trailhead, track the Hidden Fawn Trail north. This path will reveal sights of Evergreen Lake through the tree breaks. Eventually, you will confront two connecting paths; keep left here until you reach the next intersection. Here, turn right onto the Sisters Trail and ascend the rocks. Navigate the switchbacks and use the trees as leverage to help you to the summit of the Sisters Rocks. Enjoy the sights, then continue along the Sisters Trail, which will guide you south. Hike along the path until the next junction.

At this point, you will want to veer left onto the Ponderosa Trail. Trek this route, then up the Brother’s Lookout Trail for another scenic overlook of the stunning wilderness. Return to the Ponderosa Trail, tracking east before turning right onto the Sisters Trail. This path will guide you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
