Salt Creek Interpretive Trail Description

Short, accessible and without elevation incline, the Salt Creek Interpretive Trail is an appropriate route for all skill levels, and families with young children. That being said, little to no shade exists throughout the route, so it is suggested you wear lots of sunscreen, and a good hat. Likewise, Death Valley National Park can become very hot, so make sure you are drinking lots of water!

Having arrived at the trailhead, follow the Salt Creek Boardwalk trail to the west. The trail follows alongside Salt Creek to the north before arriving at a bridge, and crossing to the southern side of the creek. Traveling along the southern side of the creek for a short distance, the trail then crosses back to the northern side of Salt Creek. From here, simply follow the Salt Creek Boardwalk trail all the way back to the trailhead.
