Longaford Tor and Wistman’s Wood Circular Walk Description

If you are interested in laidback adventures that travel past a forest that may or may not be haunted, then the Longaford Tor and Wistman’s Wood Circular Walk is just the outing for you. This fun route will lead you across the rugged terrain of the moor and see you climb uphill to the summit of Longaford Tor for a great sightline across Dartmoor. From there, you will descend the hillside and make your way south, passing by the eerie expanse of Wistman’s Wood. This forest is filled with gnarled trees that are hundreds of years old and is one of the last remaining swathes of a forest that once covered all of Dartmoor.
