The Golden Throne Trail Description

The Golden Throne Trail is a fantastic hike that leads you to an incredible overlook with views of Golden Throne peak above and the Utah desert below. This trail is a steady uphill climb, so come prepared with proper footwear and hiking poles if you need the extra support. As with any hike in the Utah desert, wear a good sunhat, lather on the sunscreen, and bring along more water than you think you’ll need. While you’re hiking up, keep an eye out for Bighorn Sheep, who are often seen climbing on the rocks around this area. If you are lucky enough to catch sight of wildlife, do not feed them, and be sure to give them lots of personal space.

From the Golden Throne Trailhead, follow the path westward as it climbs steadily up to the viewpoint.

Take a long break at the overlook and soak in the incredible views of the landscape below before turning around and following the same route back down to the trailhead.
