Cassidy Arch via the Frying Pan Trail Description

The hike to Cassidy Arch via the Frying Pan trail is a perfect route for moderately experienced or experienced hikers who are looking for a challenge. This trail climbs and descends steep switchbacks so wear proper, supportive footwear. We recommend bringing hiking poles along as well to save you some strain. This route gets very hot in the afternoon sun especially along the Frying Pan Trail. Start early in the day, bring more water than you think you’ll need, and a bunch of salty snacks to replenish your electrolytes along the way. Don’t forget to pack the camera- this hike will give you epic views of the Utah desert landscape at every turn.

From the trailhead, ascend the switchbacks up to Cohab Canyon. After passing through the canyon, you will hit a divide in the trail. Take a sharp right at this divide to head southwest along the Frying Pan Trail. Continue along the Fryingpan as it curves eastward to another divide. Take a right at this point to hike a short way to Cassidy Arch. Take a breather at Cassidy Arch and enjoy a snack before turning around and heading back the way you came.

If you want to enjoy this trail but are intimidated by the distance, this hike can also be done one-way on the Cassidy Arch, Frying Pan, and Cohab Canyon Trail.
