The Adams Mountain Trail is a steep hiking route in Umpqua National Forest that features a beautiful forest setting. Along the trail, you will climb uphill through the tree cover, passing by many Rhododendrons before reaching the summit viewpoint. While it isn’t very long, this trail is quite steep; be sure to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Getting there
The starting point for the Adams Mountain Trail can be found on Forest Road 2263, just south of Lund Park Forest Camp.

If you are looking for a bit of a leg-burner that won’t take all day to complete, then the Adams Mountain Trail is a great option to explore in Umpqua National Forest.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the south through the tree cover. Here, you will immediately begin working your way uphill, gaining a fair amount of elevation as you work your way to the summit of Adams Mountain.
At the top, you will enjoy some beautiful views of the surrounding Cascade Range, before turning back along the same trail to return to the trailhead.
