Hidden Falls Trail Description

The Hidden Falls Trail is a top hike in the Grand Tetons that offers incredible scenery. Wander along the shoreline of a stunning glacial lake before escaping into the foot of the Teton Mountain Range. The crowds that flock in the area are a testament to the area’s beauty, so expect to share the trail no matter the time of day you explore. There are rocks and roots that obstruct the path in areas and overgrowth, so wear a sturdy pair of footwear and mind your footing. The Grand Teton National Park charges an entrance fee; refer to the NPS website for additional information.

Embark on your adventure along the Hidden Falls Hike from the South Jenny Lake Trailhead. Setting out from here, take the Exum Trail over Cottonwood Creek before reconnecting with the South Jenny Lake Loop Trail heading west. Follow this route until you eventually reach an intersection with the Jenny Lake Horse Trail, veer left here, and begin your climb to the Hidden Falls. At the route’s end, turn left onto the Hidden Falls Trail up to the cascades. Here you will be in the company of several others enjoying the beautiful waterfall plunging from Cascade Creek. Revel in the scene, then head back along the Hidden Falls Trail to an intersection.

Take the South Cascade Creek Trail, which boasts wonderful views of Jenny Lake and the Jackson Hole. At the following junction, turn right onto the Jenny Lake Loop Trail, which traces the shoreline of the glacial pool, ultimately delivering you back to the trailhead.
