Redwood Canyon and Redwood Creek Hike Description
The Redwood Canyon and Redwood Creek Trail is an amazing adventure into the wilderness, awaiting your exploration. Exhibiting the area’s diversity of flora and fauna, this route boasts incredible scenery every step of the way. Admire the grandeur of the looming redwoods and keep an eye out for foxes, deer, bears, and cows as you progress. Note much of the path is rocky and demands stream crossings, so wear a sturdy pair of footwear. Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.
Embark on your adventure along the Redwood Canyon and Redwood Creek Hike from the trailhead of Forest Route 14S75. Setting out from here, you will be guided southeast to an intersection. Here, veer left, and you will be diverted onto the Redwood Canyon Trail into the wilderness. Enjoy the redwood grove without the usual crowds. Turn left onto the Hart Tree Trail at the next intersection, passing the Cabin Tree passing Buena Vista Creek and a meadow. Eventually, the trail will cross East Fork Redwood Creek to the Hart Tree and down to the Fallen Goliath.
At the next junction, turn left onto the Big Springs Trail to the charming cascade and pool along the stream. From here, retrace your footing back to the intersection, merging back onto the Redwood Canyon Trail. Follow this route through the canyon and all the way back to the trailhead.
