Phoenix Mountain Nature Loop Description
The Phoenix Mountain Nature Loop is a short and sweet hike that’s quick to get to in the city and quick to complete. This route doesn’t get very busy either, so it’s a nice pick when you want to have the trail to yourself. This hike is good for all skill levels and ages and dogs are welcome on leash.
While this route is short, there are some connecting trails that can be used to lengthen your hike if desired. Download the GPS route if you want to do some additional exploring. Even though this is a short hike, we recommend bringing water on the trail with you and avoiding this route in the hotter months.
From the trailhead, follow the obvious trail to the fork. You’ll stay left and then go right immediately after at the base of the loop. Take a gentle climb up to the top of the hill, the best viewpoint on the hike. Continue off the hill and head to your left, going straight through a 5-way junction and left at the next. From here, follow the route around the base of the hill and back to the trailhead.
