The Mill Hollow Lake Loop is a short and sweet hike in the Western Uintas. This trail is family-friendly and a great hike for kids of all ages. Dogs are welcome to join you on this route—just keep an eye out for wildlife along the trail and have a leash on hand incase of wildlife encounters.

Mill Hollow Lake Loop Description
The Mill Hollow Lake Trail is a short and easy hike southeast of Kamas, Utah. This trail can get buggy in the early summer. If you are hiking in June or early July, be sure to bring along some bug spray or wear long layers to deter the mosquitoes. Mill Hollow Lake is a great spot to go fishing and the campground nearby is a lovely place to spend a night in the Utah Wilderness. This trail is the perfect place to go for a little adventure or wind down after a day of fishing before cozying up in your sleeping bag for a night under the Utah stars.
To hike the Mill Hollow Lake Trail, begin at the trailhead on the south side of FR054 and take the path to your right to hike the loop counterclockwise. Make your way around the lake along the path and enjoy exploring along the way.
When you find yourself back where you started, you can either pack up and head home, or head down to the campsite to set your home for the night.
