Clegg Lake and Notch Lake Trail Description
The Clegg Lake and Notch Lake Trail is a lovely hike east of Park City, Utah. This trail can get buggy in the early summer, so be sure to pack some bug repellent or wear long sleeves to combat the mosquitos. This trail makes for a fantastic day hike or a perfect introductory backpacking trip, mosquitoes aside. The gentle grade of the decline and incline is easy on the body, and the views are incredible at every turn. Inexplicably, this trail gets little traffic year-round, so it’s a great place to go if you are looking to enjoy the beauty of the Utah wilderness in solitude.
From the Bald Mountain Trailhead, take the path on your left to head west past Clegg Lake and Duck Lake to the shores of Notch Lake.
Enjoy your time at Notch Lake fishing, swimming, or camping. Then, when you are ready to head home, simply retrace your footsteps back to the Bald Mountain Trailhead, where you began.
