Navajo Knobs Description

The Navajo Knobs Trail is a fantastic challenge for experienced hikers. This trail is a steep and steady ascent to an incredible viewpoint. Hikers should be prepared with proper footwear, an extra layer to throw on at the top, and a whole lot of stamina. We recommend bringing hiking poles on this trail to aid in the ascent and save your knees some strain on the descent. As always, bring more than enough water with you on this trail and pocket some snacks to enjoy at the top. Don’t forget to pack the camera, the views along and atop this trail are absolutely breathtaking.

From the trailhead, follow the well-marked path northwest to a divide. Take a right at the divide and follow the path as it climbs steadily up to the top.

Once you’ve reached the peak, take a well deserved rest and soak in the incredible views of the desert landscape below. When you’ve had your fill, turn around and follow the same trail back down to the trailhead.
