Slim Shady and Made in the Shade Loop Description
There are so many fantastic easy hikes to choose from in Sedona, but the Slim Shady and Made in the Shade Loop deserves your time. This hike is suitable for all ages and skill levels and it puts Sedona’s special red rock scenery on display.
The signage on this trail is better in some parts than others, so we recommend downloading an offline GPS track to help you stay on the trail. Look for white marks, too. This trail is shared by mountain bikers, so stay aware as you hike.
From the side of the road, head out on Slim Shady Trail to where the trail splits. From here, head left. At the next junction (which might be unclear), stay right to hike alongside the eastern face of the butte. At the junction at the top of the loop, turn right to return parallel to the highway. Check out Bell Rock across the road as you make your way back to the trailhead.
