Silver Bell Mine Hike Description
The Silver Bell Mine Hike is relatively short in distance, but possesses a fair amount of elevation incline. Therefore it should be avoided by families with young children! In addition to the elevation incline, not much shade can be found throughout the duration of the Silver Bell Mine Hike, making it a must to come prepared with enough water, sunscreen, and a good hat.
With your vehicle parked in the lot, make your way south towards the higher terrain in the foreground. After crossing a stream (which may or may not have water in it), the trail will veer slightly southwest.
The Silver Bell Mine Hike then makes its way up a saddle towards an unnamed peak. This section of the hike is rather steep, and so care should be taken when attempting. Having reached the unnamed peak, the abandoned mining complex will be visible. Take your time when exploring the complex, and be sure to read the educational plaques if interested. After you have sufficiently explored, backtrack your steps towards the trailhead.
