Beauvert Lake Trail Description
From the Old Fort Point parking area, look for trail signs leading to Beauvert Lake. You will begin on the Valley of the Five Lakes trail and take a left at the first junction after 328ft. In another 328ft, you will reach another junction and stay right. Walk through the woods and reach the lake itself after 1km of hiking.
Begin your trip around the incredibly blue-green lake on the trail leading to the right. You’ll travel counter-clockwise. The first 984ft from here travels in the woods before reaching the shores of the lake again. Here, you will see the incredible Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge from the lakeshore. Continue along towards the hotel and cabins, admiring the historic grounds.
Follow the lakeshore through a horseshoe-shaped section and proceed to the southern edge of the lake where you began. After 2.5mi, you will come to the end of Old Fort Pt Road, a common viewpoint for those who choose not to hike. You will notice some hikers parking here to shorten their trip. Continue on the trail for the final 0.7mi to the parking lot.
