Hamilton Falls Trail Description

More of a short nature walk through the forest than a true hike, there really isn’t anything all that bad that can be said about the Hamilton Falls Trail other than the small amount of elevation gain that you will experience along the route. The slope of the hillside can become a bit icy during the winter months, but it is more than manageable for hikers of all ages and skill levels during the rest of the year.

Setting out from the car park, the trail will take you to the southwest through the forest, climbing uphill through the charming woodland atmosphere alongside the waters of Hamilton Creek. Keep straight along the trail and avoid any paths branching off to the side and you will eventually arrive at a scenic viewpoint of the Hamilton Falls. If you happen to be visiting during the winter, you just might be able to sit and watch adventurous ice climbers as they clamber their way up the frozen water of the falls. After taking in the views, retrace your steps back down the hillside to return to the parking lot where you began.
