Cygnet Lakes Trail Description
The Cygnet Lakes Trail is a beautiful hike in the heart of Yellowstone National Park. This trail is moderately challenging with uneven terrain. Proper hiking footwear is essential, and we recommend bringing along a set of hiking poles for some extra support. With relatively low traffic year-round, the Cygnet Lakes Trail is the perfect place to enjoy some peace and solitude in the beautiful Wyoming wilderness.
Beginning at the Cygnet Lakes trailhead, follow the well-marked trail southwest to the Cygnet Lakes wetland.
The Cygnet Lakes wetland is a great place to bird-watch or catch sight of larger mammals, including elk and even moose. When you are ready to head home, simply retrace your steps back to the Cygnet Lakes Trailhead, where you began.
