The Half Note Trail to High Note is a moderate hiking loop that utilizes the network of trails atop Whistler Mountain. Experience the beauty of the Whistler area as you look out over the surrounding mountain ranges and gaze down at the turquoise waters of Cheakamus Lake. This is a great trail for exploring the mountain, with easy to navigate terrain and some amazing viewpoints over the alpine landscape.
Getting there
To access the Half Note Trail to High Note trailhead from Green Lake, head south on BC-99 S to enter Whistler Village and make a left turn onto Nancy Green Drive. Make a right turn onto Blackcomb Way after 591ft, staying on it for 0.8mi to reach the parking lot on the left. From here, you will need to take the gondola up to the Roundhouse Lodge to get to the trailhead.

Half Note to High Note Trail Description
The Half Note Trail to High Note is a great half-day hike on Whistler Mountain that has some amazingly scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the entire valley leading down to Cheakamus Lake. Setting out from Roundhouse Lodge, the route utilizes the Peak Express lift up to Whistler Mountain, where hikers will then work their way downhill along the High Note Trail. Taking in the sights of Cheakamus Lake’s turquoise water, hikers will then turn north along the Half Note Trail to cut across the mountain on a return to the lodge.
