The Fairy Glen Circular Walk Description
The Fairy Glen Circular Walk is a popular journey for all ages! This short journey takes you through otherworldly scenery, immersing you in cone-shaped grassy hills, before unveiling Castle Ewan, a rocky tower that you can climb if you’re okay with a not-so-straightforward scramble.
While it’s not mandatory to follow the exact route outlined in the GPS, it does lead to all the best landmarks. So, it’s up to you if you want to create your own adventure or follow the map! When you get close to the rocky tower, it’s essential to keep all stones in their same position—it’s common for walkers to want to stack the stones. You can also climb the rocky tower (Castle Ewan) by following the path up before taking on a short scramble section to reach the top. The views are fantastic at the summit! Ensure you take care when tackling this climb.
After spending time exploring the supernatural wonders sprawled across this landscape, you’ll retrace your steps to head back to the car park.
