Mamquam River Trail Description

The Mamquam River Trail is a fairly easygoing route that winds alongside the river through nice woodland scenery. While the trail is located within the city, there is still the possibility of encountering bears along the hike. Make sure to travel in groups and bring bear spray to avoid any potentially dangerous encounters. Additionally, the trail runs alongside the edge of the Squamish Valley Golf Club, so keep an eye out for any stray golf balls that might come your way.

This trail passes through a beautiful stretch of land in Squamish and follows closely along the coursing Mamquam River to create a scenic and relaxing atmosphere. The rushing waters of the river and the majestic mountains that stand proudly above the forest make this a charming hike for all to enjoy.

Set out along the trail and follow along as it winds its way between the golf course and the meandering river. Reaching a fork in the trail, take the well-groomed path to the right to hike through a beautiful stretch of forest. The return leg of the hike will travel a little more closely to the river and provide some calming views over the water. The Mamquam River Trail is definitely a great hike to enjoy on the weekend in the city with some family or friends.
