Stoughton Walk Description

Stoughton Walk takes you on a wonderful journey through the rural areas of West Sussex and showcases stunning views of South Downs National Park. The walk begins at the Stoughton Down car park, and once you pass the houses, a steady climb begins. Follow the chalky path for 300m and turn right. After another 100m turn left, and after about 1km you will come out to a field of which you will walk through before heading down the bank. This will take you to another field that has an airstrip through it, cross this and find the arrow that points you towards the forest.

Continue following the path until you reach a small chalet bungalow and turn right, continuing along the path. You will then arrive at St. Michaels and if it is open, take a peek inside as it houses some beautiful paintings. As you walk on, you will pass through a few more fields, and you will continue to follow the markers. You will then arrive in the village of East Marden, and you can take a look around or continue to follow the markers until you reach the Stoughton Down car park where you began.
