Getting there
To get to the Lewes and Kingston Circular Walk from Lewes, Head east on Castle Precincts toward Castle Ditch Lane and turn left onto Mount Place. Turn right onto West Street/A2029 and use the right lane to turn slightly right onto Little E St/A2029. Turn right onto Eastgate Street/A2029 and continue straight onto Friars Walk/B2193. Take a slight left onto Station Road/B2193, and in 420ft you will arrive at your destination.

The Lewes and Kingston Circular Walk is a beautiful setting that takes you to the Ashcombe Windmill and the Blackcap Bronze Age Burial Site. Starting at the Lewes railway station, continue on to Station Road and head towards Priory Street. After this, make your way to Southover High Street. You will then go along Juggs Road, where you will find the Ashcombe Windmill. Explore this area, and following the path, you will arrive at the top of a hill. From here, walk along the South Downs Way and go through the gate. You will then arrive at Castle Hill Nature Reserve, and you will hear a faint water tapping noise in the distance, which will mean you are getting close to Blackcap. Take the stairs and find yourself at the Plumpton Plain T-junction and continue on until you end up back at the Lewes railway station where you began.
