Sugar Bowl and Redwood Creek Loop Trail Description

The Sugar Bowl and Redwoods Creek Loop Trail takes you through the sequoia grove, boasting an enchanting experience. Wander amongst the shade of looming redwoods and sequoias that so famously adorned the terrain and revel in the grandeur of these monstrosities. Compared to most groves in the area, this route is more secluded and sees less traffic, so we love this trek! Make sure to charge your camera, so you can take the typical photo in front of the sequoias! Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.

Embark on your journey along the Sugar Bowl and Redwoods Creek Loop Hike from the Redwood Canyon Trailhead. Setting out from here, you will be guided south to an intersection; keep left here onto the Sugar Bowl Trail. Wandering south across the ridge through the Redwood Mountain Grove. Eventually, the path will reroute you northeast down the winding path into Redwood Canyon. When you reach the next intersection, veer left, and you will be directed onto the Redwood Canyon Trail.

This lovely section of the trail wanders along the meandering creek through the giant sequoias. Follow this path along the creek, and it will ultimately deliver you back to the trailhead, marking the end of your adventure.
