Agnes Vaille Falls Trail Description
Who doesn’t love a hike that culminates at a waterfall? No one. The Agnes Vaille Falls Trail is a stunning adventure that will guide adventurers to the charming alpine cascades that are fed through the break in a dramatic rocky cliff. If you venture this hike, you will notice several signs warning against getting too close to the falls or climbing on the rocks—listen to them. This area is subject to rockfalls, which prove extremely dangerous, so be cautious. Though short, the trail does ascend in elevation, so bring a water bottle and be prepared to break a sweat, but it is totally worth it-trust us! Note it is best to venture this trail in the spring as the falls usually dry up by late summer.
Begin your adventure to the Agnes Vaille Falls from the trailhead. From here, track north along the Cascade Creek Trail through the sagebrush fields. There is not much shade along this path, so be sure to wear a sunhat on a hot summer day! Departing from the trailhead the route will begin to climb towards the falls. Follow the path all the way to the mesmerizing cascades.
Once you find yourself at the Agnes Vaille Falls you will likely be in the company of many other adventurers enjoying the view. Revel in the grandeur of the falls and let the spray of the alpine water cool you down. Respect the warnings and admire the cascades from a safe distance before beginning your return. To get back to the trailhead simply retrace your footing along the path.
