Palm Canyon Trail Description:

Looking for a quick but rewarding outdoor adventure? The Palm Canyon Trail in Palm Springs makes for an ideal excursion option. However, before you go, there are some things to note! Firstly, rattlesnakes love dry, desert environments, so brush up on your rattlesnake awareness before hiking.

It’s also best to avoid hiking this trail during the summer heat, as the temperatures can be striking and potentially life-threatening. Hikers will also need to dish out $12 per adult and $6 for kids between 6-12. Sadly, dog owners will have to keep their fur babies at home as they are not allowed on this trail.

However, the Palm Canyon Trail is well worth the entrance fee. There’s nothing like standing amid towering green palm trees set against a more rustic background. If you’re in the mood to hike more and make the most out of the entrance fee, consider heading out early in the morning to explore the surrounding trails. You can also spend time enjoying a picnic or walking along the stream.

Setting out from the Palm Canyon Trail trailhead, you’ll follow the straightforward Palm Canyon Trail until you reach a junction with the Victor Trail. Along the trail, enjoy meandering below the shade of the lofty palm trees while a stream runs adjacent to the path. Choose a picnic spot along the creek if you wish!

When you reach the junction with Victor Trail, turn around and head back the way you came. However, you can also wander along the Victor Trail if you want to extend your adventure.
