Hiking the Fuller Lake Arena Grounds will take you on a 2.1mi hiking circuit through a pleasant forest setting southwest of Chemainus, BC. The route is made up of flat, well-maintained trails that meander amongst the trees and offer a quiet setting for hikers to reconnect with nature. A popular spot for dog walkers, the easy nature of the trail and relaxed setting makes this hike an ideal route for a family-friendly adventure without the stress of heading into the backcountry.
Getting there
To reach the Fuller Lake Arena Grounds trailhead from Chemainus, head southeast on Chemainus Road for 0.7mi and take the second exit at the roundabout to continue straight for another 1312ft. At the next roundabout, continue straight through once again and follow the road for 0.7mi before turning right on Crozier Road. After 2297ft, turn left on Cottonwood Road and follow it for 1312ft. Turn right onto Fuller Lake Road and you will find the area, and parking area on the left in 853ft.

Fuller Lake Arena Grounds Trail Description
Easily accessible and well-maintained, the trails of the Fuller Lake Arena Grounds are a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll through the woods or a fun adventure with young kids. The trail sets out from the parking area behind the Fuller Lake arena and immediately enters into the thick cover of the forest. Follow along the wide and flat dirt pathways that wind through the tree cover and offer some intermittent views of the countryside adjacent to the forest. Once you reach the southern portion of the trail loop, you will have some nice views across a cleared meadow before entering back under the tree canopy on the return part of the journey to the arena parking lot.
