The Glas Tulaichean and Gleann Taitneach Circular Walk is a lengthy route in Cairngorms National Park that will take you through the rugged mountains to visit a charming loch. While out walking the trail, you will follow along the banks of Glen Lochsie Burn and traverse the summit of Glas Tulaichean, before visiting the secluded shores of Loch nan Eun. This is a fantastic adventure if you are looking to take in the undulating terrain of the Cairngorms.

The trailhead for the Glas Tulaichean and Gleann Taitneach Circular Walk can be found next to the Dalmunzie Golf Club, northwest of Spittal of Glenshee.

Glas Tulaichean and Gleann Taitneach Walk Description

Featuring winding mountain streams, rugged peaks, and lovely lochs set amongst the undulating landscape, the Glas Tulaichean and Gleann Taitneach Circular Walk is an excellent route on which you can experience the natural beauty of Cairngorms National Park.

Setting out from the trailhead, you will initially follow the road to the northwest, before picking up a footpath branching off to your left. Here, you will follow the lovely banks of Glen Lochsie Burn as they snake to the northwest and provide some beautiful views of the surrounding mountain terrain.

Eventually, you will begin climbing up the steep mountainside towards the summit of Glas Tulaichean, where you will experience sweeping views across the surrounding mountains. Descending the summit along a trail leading north, you will make your way down to the charming shores of Loch nan Eun. From the loch, you will follow along the waters of Allt Easgaidh to the southeast, once again passing through a scenic glen on the way into the trailhead where you started.
