Brecon Beacons Four Peaks Circular Walk

For those adventurers looking for a great challenge while taking in the best views that Brecon Beacons National Park has to offer, the Brecon Beacons Four Peaks Circular Walk will be the perfect adventure for you. In addition to climbing the central beacons, you will also have the chance to traverse several other peaks along the route and enjoy sweeping views of the rugged landscape surrounding you.

Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the north and immediately begin climbing up the steep hillside, traversing Bwlch y Ddwyallt and Craig Cwareli, before making your way to Fan-y-Big to experience breathtaking views from the diving board rock formation.. From here, you will traverse Cribyn to the northwest on the way to Pen-y-Fan.

After reaching the summit of the highest point in southern Britain, you will enjoy panoramic views that stretch out to the Bristol Channel in the south, before continuing on to the lower summit of Corn Du. From this point, you will begin making your way across several other summits until you reach Twyn Mwyalchod, where you will change directions to the east in order to descend the steep hillside. After crossing over the banks of Taf Fechan, you will make your way to the southwest towards the Torpantau rail station, before completing the final leg of the walk into the car park where you began.
